About the Monthly Draws 

 

What is Win on Repeat?  

Win on Repeat is a competition in which you can win Old Mutual Rewards points by simply using your OM Bank card. The competition is broken up into monthly draws and a Grand Prize.  

How do I win a monthly prize? 

To win any of the monthly prizes, all you need to do is make at least two qualifying transactions, for a minimum of R30 each, to earn entries every week and stand a chance of winning your share of R12 500 in Old Mutual Rewards points in each monthly draw. The competition runs from 23 March 2026 to 27 September 2026. There will be six monthly draws that take place at the end of each month. 

What are the qualifying transactions for a monthly prize?  

Minimum of R30 per transaction: 

  • Spend: Card swipes, online shopping, ATM withdrawals, EFTs, PayShap, bill payments 

  • Buy: Prepaid airtime, data, or electricity

Remember, you need a minimum of two of these a week. Each qualifying transaction counts as an entry and you can accumulate up to 8 entries per week. The transaction periods for each monthly draw are as follows:

Note: If a merchant processes a transaction after the final day of the transaction period, that transaction will be included in the following month’s draw.

For example, if you make a purchase of R100 on 25 April, but it is only processed on 28 April, the R100 will be counted in the May draw.

Please note that entries are only finalised after the transaction period closes and all merchant processing delays have been accounted for.

Do higher value transactions earn me extra entries? 

No, provided the qualifying transaction is R30 or more, it counts as 1 entry.

Do transactions using my Old Mutual Rewards points count as a qualifying activity? 

No, buying vouchers, airtime and bundles or making donations using your Old Mutual Rewards points do not earn entries into the draw.  

However, if you redeem your points on to your OM Bank card and then use the cash for qualifying transactions you can earn entries into the draw.

Do debit orders going off my account count as qualifying transactions?  

No, only the transactions listed in the campaign qualify:  

  • Card swipes, 

  • Online shopping 

  • ATM withdrawals, 

  • EFTs, 

  • PayShap,  

  • Bill payments, and 

  • In-app purchases such as prepaid airtime, data, or electricity  

Who can participate in the monthly prize draw?  

To participate, you must: 

  • Be 18 years or older 

  • Be a South African citizen or permanent resident 

  • Qualifying 

  • valid South African ID or Passport 

  • Be an Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (South Africa) customer with a qualifying product 

  • Have an active OM Bank account in good standing 

  • Be an Old Mutual Rewards member

What are the monthly prizes?  

Every month, 16 lucky winners are drawn, of which: 

  • One winner of R2 500 (Two thousand five hundred rands only) in Old Mutual Rewards points  

  • Five winners of R1 000 (One thousand rands only) in Old Mutual Rewards points  

  • Ten winners of R500 (Five hundred rands only) in Old Mutual Rewards points

How will I know if I've won a monthly prize?  

The winner will be contacted telephonically using the contact details on their Old Mutual Rewards profile. Three attempts will be made within 48 hours. If we cannot reach you after three attempts in 48 hours, another winner will be selected. 

What is a streak?   

A streak is the number of consecutive weeks where you complete two or more qualifying transactions. The longer your streak, the more bonus entries you earn into the draw. Bonus entries count towards the monthly draw of the month you earn them in, and the Grand Prize draw.

What bonus entries can I earn?  

  • 4 consecutive weeks = 10 bonus entries  

  • 8 consecutive weeks = 25 bonus entries  

  • 12 consecutive weeks = 50 bonus entries  

  • 16 consecutive weeks = 75 bonus entries  

  • 20 consecutive weeks = 100 bonus entries  

  • 24 consecutive weeks = 150 bonus entries

What causes my streak to reset?  

Your streak will reset to zero if:  

  • You complete fewer than two qualifying transactions in a week  

  • Your OM Bank account is no longer in good standing (this means it is in arrears, overdrawn, has outstanding documentation, or has been flagged for fraud)

What happens to my competition entries if I lose break my streak?   

If you lose your streak, it resets to zero. This means you need to build it up again by being consistent every week. You will retain the weekly entries and bonus entries you earned before the broken streak. These entries will still count towards the active monthly draw and Grand Prize draw.

Do I lose all previous bonus entries if my streak resets?  

Any entries (including bonus entries) that you earned before you broke your streak remain yours and will count towards the active monthly draw and Grand Prize draw. However, you'll need to build a new streak to earn more bonus entries.

How do bonus entries count toward monthly vs Grand Prize draws?  

Monthly draws will only consider the bonus entries earned from streaks within that specific month.  

The Grand Prize draw includes all the bonus entries you've earned throughout the entire campaign period.

What happens if I don't complete two qualifying transactions in a week?  

You won't earn any entries for that week, and if you had an active streak, it will reset to zero. You can start building a new streak the following week.

Where can I see how many entries I’ve earned?  

Look out for communication from Old Mutual Rewards every month and check your monthly Rewards statement to track the number of competition entries you have accumulated.

About the Grand Prize Draw 

 

What is the Grand Prize 

The Grand Prize is 1 000 000 Old Mutual Rewards points, which is equivalent to R100 000 and the winner will be drawn in October 2026. 

How do I qualify for the Grand Prize? 

You must: 

  • Be an Old Mutual Rewards member 

  • Have an active OM Bank account in good standing 

  • Have qualified for at least one monthly draw during the campaign period 

  • Have an active qualifying insurance product, and 

To stand a chance of winning the Grand Prize, you will need to switch your qualifying Old Mutual debit order to a DebiCheck mandate with OM Bank and make at least one successful debit order payment. Participation in the campaign requires that the Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (South Africa) DebiCheck mandate remains active for the duration of the campaign. The Qualifying policies can be found below and in the campaign Terms and Conditions.

How do I know if my OM Bank account is "in good standing"?  

Good standing means your account is not overdrawn or in arrears, that you have submitted all the required documentation and that your account has not been flagged for fraud. You can view your account status in the OM Bank app and will be notified with an in-app message if your account goes into arrears.

What is DebiCheck?  

A DebiCheck mandate is a specific type of debit order, that protects you by ensuring that you approve all the details of the debit order (e.g. the amount, date, and company) before any money is taken off, and it prevents any changes without your permission. The purpose of a DebiCheck mandate is to protect you from fraud.

Please note, you will need to approve a DebiCheck mandate on your OM Bank app.

How do I switch from my current type of debit order to DebiCheck mandate? 

After opening your account and getting an OM Bank card, you can change your banking details on the Old Mutual app, in branch, or via the contact centre.

Non-Money Account 

  • Log in to the Old Mutual App or Old Mutual website:

  • Select the qualifying Old Mutual debit order you wish to switch (under either Insure or Save and Invest).

  • Under Banking Details select Edit Details then select Add New Bank Account.

  • Select OM Bank Limited, fill in the fields (remember to add your account details, confirm the debit‑order date and accept T&Cs) then submit.

  • You will receive an SMS acknowledging the debit order switch request. The switch may take up to five working days to process. 

Money Account 

If you’ve previously had a Money Account and now have an OM Bank card, you can log in to your OM Bank app and request help with switching debit orders.

If you are among the first 20 000 customers to successfully switch and accept the DebiCheck mandate, you will earn 1 000 Old Mutual Rewards Points within one week.

How do I accept a DebiCheck debit order? 

After switching your your qualifying Old Mutual debit order to a DebiCheck mandate with OM Bank, look out for a prompt on your OM Bank app to accept the DebiCheck mandate.

I have multiple Old Mutual policies; do I need to switch all of them to a DebiCheck mandate?   

No, you only need to switch at least one qualifying policy to meet the requirements of the competition.

How will I know if I've won the Grand Prize? 

The winner will be contacted telephonically using the contact details on their Old Mutual Rewards profile. Three attempts will be made within 48 hours. If we cannot reach a winner, an alternate winner will be selected.


General questions 

 

How do I get an OM Bank card?  

Download the OM Bank app from your app store and follow the in-app prompts. Once you have your app set up, you will need to collect your physical card at a branch to complete the process of opening your account. Click here for a list of the branches, you can collect your card if you are one of the first 10 000 customers to collect your physical card at a branch within the competition period and you'll get 1 000 Old Mutual Rewards points within a week. Please note, replacement and virtual cards do not qualify.

What guaranteed rewards can I get? 

  • Open and Collect Reward – 1 000 Old Mutual Rewards Points  
    Be one of the first 10 000 customers to open an OM Bank account and pick up your physical card at a branch. 

  • Protect and Earn Reward – 1 000 Old Mutual Rewards Points  
    Switch your qualifying Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (South Africa) debit order to a DebiCheck mandate with OM Bank.

Does my virtual card qualify for the Open and Collect Reward?  

No, only physical cards qualify.

Do replacement cards qualify for the Open and Collect Reward? 

No, only your first activated physical card will earn the reward.

I'm already an OM Bank customer, can I participate?  

Yes, provided you're also an Old Mutual Rewards member with a qualifying Old Mutual policy, you're automatically eligible. Just keep transacting using your OM Bank card to rack up your competition entries. However, as an existing OM Bank customer, you do not qualify for the guaranteed rewards payable on card pick-up and debit order switching. 

Where can I find the full terms and conditions?  

Full terms and conditions are available on the Old Mutual Rewards website and on request from the Old Mutual Rewards contact centre.

Can Old Mutual employees participate?  

No, directors, partners, employees, agents, consultants, and similar individuals connected to the Old Mutual Group of companies may not participate.

If I win a monthly prize, can I still win the Grand Prize?  

Absolutely! Monthly wins don't affect your Grand Prize eligibility at all.

Can I choose how I receive my prize?  

No, prizes are awarded as Old Mutual Rewards points, which you can spend at over 50 partners. Points can be redeemed for their Rand value directly onto your OM Bank card. 

Old Mutual Rewards reserves the right to substitute prizes with items of equivalent value. Old Mutual may, subject to the winner’s consent, announce the winner’s name and surname for prize‑fulfilment or winner‑announcement purposes. Competition winnings may have tax implications. Winners are responsible for seeking independent tax advice and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Old Mutual does not provide tax advice and will not be liable for any tax obligations arising from awarding the prize.

Are prizes transferable?  

No, prizes are non-transferable. Old Mutual Rewards reserves the right to substitute prizes with items of equivalent value.

What if I have a complaint or dispute?  

Contact our Rewards call centre on 0860 700 800 or email [email protected] to get help on your query. Note that the operating hours are 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, closed weekends and public holidays. Unresolved disputes may follow the formal Old Mutual complaints process.
